Newbie introducing myself.
Hello everybody,
I am new to this board. It looks like a great place. I have been trying to find a board that was appealing to me for awhile now. I was talking with my cousin last night, and he told me about this one. I checked it out, and I like it so far.
I have been collecting cards since I was 7. My mother was the one who got me started. She was putting together a 1985 Topps baseball set from packs bought at the local drug store. My brother and I were given all of the duplicates, and it went on from there. I'm now 27, and I have a basement full of cards. I have several sets that I am trying to complete, as well as thousands of duplicates that I am looking to trade. My main interests are in anything pre - 1985, and Topps Heritage, 205, 206, and Cracker Jack. I really like the vintage, and retro sets. I do collect other things as well, but I am not as interested in that material.
I am looking for a place that can help me complete my sets, as well as a place where I can help someone else complete their sets. I am hoping this is the place to do it. I am an honest person, and I like dealing with honest people. I have been on eBay for about 10 months, and (knock on wood) have not had a problem yet. I always ship cards immediately after payment is received. I intend to do the same as far as trading goes, as soon as a trade is set in place I will send the cards.
Anyway, I am sorry if this is too long, but I wanted to say hi. I also wanted let people know a little bit about myself. I am hoping for many happy trades on both ends here.

Great, thank you for the welcome. I am looking forward to this experience. I am working on a want list page, and I am wondering if I have to post specifically what I need here or can I just post a link to my page with my needs?

Welcome to the site , I know you will enjoy it here. There are alot of Great Traders here on this site that can help you with your collection.
As for your Question you can do it either way, but if it is a long list you might just want to post a link to your Want list.

welcome. I hope we can make some trades.
One word of advice. Always send in bubble mailers. It will cause less headaches in the future.

Thanks for the advice. I always use bubble mailers, I know exactly what you mean by that. I have had problems with a couple of sellers on eBay when I received my purchases. One seller wanted $2.50 for shipping, or free with "buy it now". He wanted more for "buy it now" than I normally would have paid for the cards. However, they were the only 2 cards I needed to complete my 04 Heritage master set. So, I paid his price. When I got the cards, they were in a bubble mailer, but they were placed between 2 - 3" x 5" index cards and loaded with tape. I almost destroyed the cards getting them out of the tape, but fortunately I did not. I was very unhappy about it. When I send cards that I sell, I use a top loader, pennysleeve, and seal the end of the top loader so the cards can not fall out. All of them go into a bubble mailer. For certain deals, where a buyer requests lower shipping prices I will use a hard plastic team set case, but I let the buyer know that before they buy. I do appreciate the advice, and any other advice about trading via internet is always welcome.
Thanks
