My super treasure find!
I was at my local Wal-Mart today, which is in the middle of a remodel to a SuperCenter. They currently have about 15 aisles of mega clearance. In those was a section of old sports and non-sport cards, such as yu-gi-oh and pokemon. I picked up several boxes of non-sport, and as I was digging through the piles I found one of those large cardboard hanging boxes (the kind with the hinged front) of '09 Premium, sealed. I thought, oh someone needs to know about this, it must be misplaced. Out of curiosity I scanned the price sticker and the barcode on it at one of those mounted scanner. The item came up 2009 Racing Cards-CLEARANCE $2.99. That is generally the price of one pack. So I thoguht, hmmm...let's see how far this goes. Took it to the register, the cashier scanned it, and sold it to me for $3 and change. I almost passed out. Well got it home, busted it, and opened 90 packs. I pulled 3 base sets 1-80, 1 complete set of the 81-90 cards, as well as a Joey Logano Win Streak Victory Lane (unscratched still) and a Paul Menard Auto. Nothing super, but well worth $3.00.
