Inflated point stats
I realize that the 2nd assist is given out way to freely but on Malkins first goal last night. Did he not intercept a clearing attempt then go in and score.
How is there 2 assist given out on that. 1 to Sid the 2nd to Gonchar

It was a shaky call on those assists. I think that they think that it was more of a deflection then a pass who knows.... still count though :)

they just like giving out points to the pens

I thought of that also but then asked myself if there was a delayed penalty being called would they have blown it dead off that clearing attempt. IMO I said without a doubt they would have. So it would be like a change of possesion.
