Quote from Kobe Doin' Work
"When some players guard the greats, they get scared. They try whatever they can to stop them. Thats what I love about guarding other greats, you may get humiliated but thats all in the game"
Not exact quote, but close.
I feel that Dahntay is trying to guard Kobe the best he can, but he can't. He is trying to his best ability and tries to guard Kobe. When you get humiliated, you get frustrated. I feel that Dahntay is trying to get into Kobe's head by roughing the game up.
And JR is a great player, but it takes him a while to mature. The people who you mentioned (Nene/Chauncey) have been in the league a while now to mature and become great players. He is a young guy, he is 23 years old. He came to the NBA from high school. So give him a break, if you scored in a game at 18 or 19 wouldn't you be so happy that you want to "showboat"?

Thats true, but also for any sport. There are people who have to lift theirselves up a little more for some reason. Makes them feel like men? Like they are better than you? IDK really.
How wasn't it dirty???? The ball was no where near them. The ball was in the air and there was no need to trip him, he could of broke Kobe's wrist or something. I wouldn't be surprised if the league does something about it.
I just said it wasnt DIRTY. Yes he COULD have broken a wrist, but a regular foul could do that also. I broke my ankle on a NON-FOUL my soph year. But to me dirty is a little more rough than what Jones did. And look, I'm a Kobe fan, I didnt like the play either, I just wouldnt say "dirty", just cheap. But a foul for sure. I also wouldnt be surprised if the league did something about it, i believe they should.

Man rough game for the Lakers. Got to give the Nuggets credit for not letting the Lakers come back into this one.
Oh well, we got what we wanted which is one game and Denver, now let's just try to get the next two games.

Well, that just means I think "cheap" and "dirty" are two different things. And you are exactly right there was no need for it. It was wrong, a fould, and cheap (in my opinion haha), and I do think the league should do something about it.

HUGE night for Kenyon and Birdman, both ended up with double doubles!
I just wish ESPN had shown a replay of Ken's dunk from the opening quarter.

Its ok. typical dukey plays lol
for the game, lakers played horrible, three big men not rebounding and guarding the rim, bech players cant make a shot.
Lakers will bounce back in game 5. I expect a huge game from Pau & Odom. (hopefully lol)

I've been really impressed with Nene's interior passing. I haven't seen much of the Nuggets until the playoffs this year, and he's become a very good passer down low. They're a fun team to watch, but all these stupid technicals are starting to get to me.
