should be a fun year, he said he enjoys the young kids, so well see how well they do under quinn.

I hope they don't give him a heart attack! And I really do mean that.

im excited for next season with quinn. should be fun, hopefully he can handle the young guys properly and create a team with playoff hopes. we need a new offence. we need to get more shots on net, ans less time tring to be the harlem globetrotters with fancy passing and always giving the puck away. some decent trades in the off season should be benefitial as well. renney will evntually become the coach, then quinn will take the gm seat till he croaks. its good to freshen up the coaching staff in the organization. no more oiler buddies from the dynasty days.

This is a brilliant move. They essentially have 2 very good NHL coaches in Quinn and Renney. The part thats makes this a great move is that both Renney and Quinn are good friends, yet have completely different approaches and excel at preaching different styles. Quinn is the rugged old school guy who favors the vets, while Renney is a players coach who is excellent with developing younger talent into solid 2 way players. There will be no excuse for anyone on this team to underperform.

Interestingly enough the trade rumors already seem to have started up between the Rangers and Oilers, and there are talks of Jagr potentially signing with the Oilers. The New York Oilers live on.

He a good hockey man but time will only tell if he can take the Edmonton Oilers to another level. I think on paper it a sound move as he definitely knows his hockey. Can he motivate this bunch that remains to be seen. I would love to see the Oilers make some noise in the playoffs next year.

I think it's great we have alot of young talent on the team and Quinn is coming off coaching the juniors to a gold medal. He knows how to handle the kids as well as the vets and is an all around great coach. As for bringing in Renney as associate head coach thats just a bonus as he can move into head coach spot after Quinn is done. I think this was a great move made by the Oilers organization and I can't wait for next year. Or at least until free agency time D:D

In toronto he didn't like to use the young players. That was his downfall. We let alot of good young talent get traded for older folks. Although it was a different game in those years with no cap.

I think the Jr's did him good and he should be a good fit in Oil Country.
