Hrrmmm, thoughts on this Crosby Limited Logos? Sometimes UD do give amazing patches, but im curious on this one

K I have no idea where that would have come off of on a penguins jersey. Judging by the ending price (400 bucks) I'm guessing most buyers stayed far far away because that's too low for that insane of a patch of a hard-signed sid auto.

Damn I must be blind lol. Ok back to the patch, where would it come from? That'd be one really tiny penguin. My guess would be special shoulder patch but I don't know of one that looks like that but I don't know all of them. I'm gonna watch it though now I'm curious what it ends at.

Over on HI on their fake patch thread Neil has a Photobucket with a bunch of fake patch archives and the Crosby Limited Logos is included in the fake patch list so run far away from that auction.

Nice to see Beckett slabbed it though. Unfortunately some will see the BGS slab and just assume its legit because it was graded and handled by "experts".

After some checking the patch appears to have been made from a winter classic hat.

Why would somebody grade a card like that, then only to see it at 8.5. People are crazy when it comes to grading. That card will sell for much more out of that idiotic case.

Someone else pointed it out and I agree, having a fake patch graded it pretty intelligent. It adds an air of legitimacy to the card. Even though BGS doesn't guarantee the patch people just see a slabbed card and feel safe buying it. I am still of the opinion it came from a winter classic hat personally. Definitely appears to be from the 2011 Winter Classic logo but the shoulder emblem from the jerseys should be larger than that patch. Only thing I can think of that would have the Penguin be that small is the hat.
