I got an idea for caution flags due to rain.....

    First a small rant....

I've been reading a bunch of articles saying that Reutimann doesn't deserve the win that he got because he wasn't even a good car all day, blah blah blah. Well, you know what? He deserves it just as much as every other guy who's won a race because of rain. Remember Gordon at Pocono a few years back? His car was about 4 seconds off of everyone else because he stayed out and waited for it to rain, and right as Newman got to him, the caution few for rain, and he won the race.

No one complained about that one....just because it's Reutimann people are gonna complain about him not being deserving of the win? That makes me mad. ANYWAYS.....onto my idea.

How about this.....anytime a caution flag is thrown for rain, NASCAR keeps pit road closed, and doesn't allow anyone to pit unless they 100% know that the race will resume within a few minutes. ONLY open up pit road when there's a couple caution laps to go before they go back racing.

There. That'll solve all the problems/complains about undeserving winners.

Personally, I like seeing guys win rain events that normally wouldn't.....it's always nice to see a different person in victory lane.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

I actually like this idea!! You do realize that Kyle then wins the 600 because of this? I could go for that though

Yea....like I said, I'm not saying I'm IN FAVOR of it, just throwing an idea out there to please all the people who complain when someone wins a race that "didn't deserve to."

Let the people moan and complain, there isn't any competition on the track now as it is. Seeing 8 teams win every race in a season gets old.

seems like a good idea to me-but I have no problem with Reutimann winning-I dont like the rain choices dictating the winner but....everyone in front of him had the chance to make that call and win the race, but werent willing to take the risk to do so-therefore he deserves to win.

    I agree with that.

I wouldnt say Reutimann didnt deserve that win. He's out there tryin just as hard as everyone else every week. Part of racing is strategy and he used the strategy of staying out and it helped him.
