Penguins sweep Canes in four games to return to Stanley Cup finals

    The Canadian Press

RALEIGH, N.C. - Sidney Crosby saved his most daring move for after the game: He spurned hockey superstition and hoisted the Prince of Wales Trophy.

If he keeps playing like this, it might not be the only prize the Pittsburgh Penguins' young captain raises. The Penguins are headed back to the Stanley Cup finals, clinching a return trip with a 4-1 rout of the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night that finished off a sweep in the Eastern Conference finals.

Pittsburgh lost to Detroit last year in six games.

I would like to see the Pens win the Cup this year. They are a great team and I think they are even better than last year.

btw, Bill Cowher is a turd for rooting for the Canes and participating in their pre-game ceremony. My Pens friend was very angry. LOL

I disagree...they lost a 40 goal and 71 point scorer to the team they couldnt beat last year that they will likely have to play again for the cup...how is that getting better?

Defense win championship and Pens D still sucks . Gill and Orpik will have nightmares tonight

For the first time in the playoffs , they will compete against a defense who can easily shut them down , as Philly , Wash and Carolina all have an average defense squad.

I have to agree with you KB. A little growth over last year will come in handy, and yes Michiganice they did lose Hossa, but overall this will be a far better series to watch, based on the "haven't we seen this matchup before" scenario.
All in all it will be a good series. Personally I'm not rooting for one team over the other(that went out when the last CANADIAN team lost), but I would like to see good hockey nonetheless, and may the best team win. As it will be congrats from me to those who win.
