what a stupid schedule. The NHL sucks. Wings should win the cup and start their own league.

Um, I agree that the schedule is junk, but that second part is a little much.
Why would the NHL have back to back games, at least give the players who have worked so hard to get there have enough times between games to sit down....

The NHL wants the TV time before the NBA finals start. Once the NBA finals start the NHL will get alot less media coverage in the states.

Its all ESPN's fault. I cant stand hearing all the NBA crap. Basketball sucks compared to hockey.

That is one thing I can agree with you on. (rare, but it happened lol)
I don't understand how ESPN can cover 35 minutes on basketball, with multiple different angles and reporters to cover it, and spend maybe 5 minutes on the NHL playoffs. And the whole top ten plays, don't even get me started on how bad they mess that up.

Its because they forfeited their NHL contract after the lockout and are probably biting their lip with all the Chicago people who want to tune in and hear about hockey.
Mike and Mike are pathetic too on ESPN Radio. Golic doesnt know crap about hockey...and Greenberg only knows a little about the Rangers cuz he's a NY'er. I hate it :(

I don't care as long as it on t.v. I remember when there were few games to be had. So as long as it on I don't care. Perhaps they should just blacklist the whole Cup final and let everyone really start complaining then. Some times I think people go over board. I wasn't a fan of versus, OLN, and whatever else showed games. But hey if I could catch a game it definitely made me happy.
p.s. Just loving having a computer so I can watch most of the games on the computer.

i dont remember where I read this, but I read it a year or two after the lockout that one of the reasons ESPN wont be covering hockey anymore is because they had ridiculous demands after the lockout forfeit if the NHL wanted to be back on their network. Some of the ridiculous things I remember included banning the players from having beards, even in the playoffs because people want to see the players faces, cutting the season down to 45 games, and something about the fighting. I think they wanted to make it manditory that fighters keep their gloves and helmets on or something. If the article I read was true, be very glad it was turned down. Also, maybe if NBC get some better camera angles it wouldn't be bad, also the one idiot commentator on there called the Pens "the defending Stanley Cup champs" 2 or 3 times during a Rangers vs. Pens game on NBC and nobody corrected him..

I'm still trying to figure out why the sudden gaps at the end there..how can they go back to back, then day on day off, to 3 days off for game 5-7? hopefully they bring these in like they did the first 4 games...
