Oh I also got an email today from Mets Executive VP David Howard about a complaint email I sent him a few days ago about how the new security features at the park namely the players parking lot and the barricades don't allow for young kids like my nephew who I take to games occasionally to attempt to get autographs.

Thanks for your message. As you may know, we open the ballpark two and a half hours before the scheduled first pitch, and fans can roam the Field Level and request autographs during and after batting practice. As for the area you identify, we have had players choose to sign autographs from just beyond the location of the barricades, although it is not a regular occurrence. We pride ourselves on being a fan- and family-friendly organization and do our best to strike a proper balance on issues such as this.

Not exactly at Citi Field but I IP graphed the Mets at PNC Park in Pittsburgh today. I missed David Wright by about 10-15 minutes and he signed 1 a piece for the 4-5 guys outside the park. A lot of guys turned people down but I was able to get Omir Santos on an 8x10, Ken Takahashi on an 8x10 and Pitching Coach Dan Wharten on a 08 Mets Team Photo I'm working on. I also took my picture with Tim Redding after the game when he came out of the park and got a fist bump from K-Rod as he was jumping into his private truck to go back to the hotel.

Took about 550 pictures of the boys during BP and the game. Got some nice stuff to print out and get signed when I get back to NYC

Day #2 outside of PNC Park. Got their super early and was able to get HoJo (1986 Team Postcard) and Jerry (8x10 of one of my personal photos). Jerry and I actually talked for a few minutes after I told him I came down from Queens for the series. He asked if I was coming tonight and I said yeah and he goes we'll try to win one for you tonight then. Also saw Dan Wharten again but didn't have anything for him. Weather got very crappy so it wasn't a great day to get anything done really.

Player wise I was able to get F-Mart (8x10) and Schneider (8x10). Takahashi, Cora, Valdez, Redding and Santos all signed. Livan, Luis and Johan all came together and turned the 6 of us down. Sheff only signed 1 for a little kid in front, K-Rod ignored everyone and got into it with a PNC Security guy who asked to check his Louis Vitone (sp) Man Purse. K-Rod goes I don't have a gun in here or anything and the old guy doing security was being a hardass with him.

The game itself got rained out so I'm going to exchange my tickets for a single one for tmrw. Trying for something really close to the dugout to get some more pictures with my D3. Hopefully I'll also be able to snag one of the tough guys on the final day. I'm not complaining but most of the guys I've gotten so far I've also got at home. This trip was to get like a Wright or Johan if possible since getting them at home isn't possible unless you have a ton of money to attend either the Welcome Home Dinner or the Teammates in the Community Event

Final Season Shea Ball tossed into the stands by a ballboy after the game on Tuesday (Looks likes it was used in BP cause it's pretty dirty and scuffed up)

OMLB tossed to me after the game on Thursday by Wilson Valdez who saw me sitting next to the dugout all game taking pictures so when I asked him he gave me the 1 minute finger and brought it back out

Next time I'm trying for Autographs will be either Tuesday or Wednesday out at Citi Field when the Mets play the Phillies

Today was the best day I've had at Citi all year, no problems with the barricades until very late in the day after I got most of my photos signed already. Wound up with 9 Signed 8x10's (Scans below), 1 Signed 86 Mets Postcard, this cardstock photo I found in my old room and 1 Signed OMLB (Davey Lopes)
