Two weeks after their team’s playoff exit, Bruins [team stats] owner Jeremy Jacobs and his son, executive vice president Charlie Jacobs, reflected yesterday upon the shared disappointment with the way the season ended, and also looked ahead to bright prospects for the 2009-10 campaign.

Of particular note moving forward: a contract extension for general manager Peter Chiarelli is close; and the Bruins hosting the Winter Classic at Fenway Park [map] next season is very likely.
