Question about custom cards
I have some damaged Jordan Staal jersey cards laying around. If I make my own custom card that includes jersey pieces, does that count as forgery? They would be for my own PC.
I have seen other peoples custom cards in the past so I figure it must be ok.

I don't think so. If you're making your own card, but destroying a legitamate card to do it.... I say go nuts.
Obviously though, there is no way you can gaurentee the piece of jersey is authentic after you've done so. So long as you're not trying to pass off the cards as something official, whatever you want to do with your own collection should be fine by everyone else.

It's ok as long as you do not attempt to sale or trade them as authentic cards. What you do for your PC is all good :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but forgery would be making or altering cards and selling them as a original. They're your cards so you can do as you please. Even if you sell them it should be legit if you state they are custom. As long as you're not trying to pass them off as real cards.
I've never dared to take apart a jersey card before so I'd like to know how it goes.

That's pretty accurate. I'd agree 100%. Forgery is trying to pass off something that isn't real (like what's been shown in that other thread). Ripping the swatches out of your cards, to make your own custom cards.... you're not forging anything at all.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that - make sure you show us them when you have finished them! I love looking at customs...

There's no question it's not an issue as long as you don't plan to sell. Even if you do sell, you wouldn't have a forgery issue unless you failed to disclose what you'd done.
Where you could run into a problem (although I would say it's extremely unlikely), is with licensing, if you sold a custom card with a player's image and/or NHL or team logos, without the legal right (ie. license).
