Message to sellers
If someone is going to spend over $100 on a single card, do not put the card in one of those cheap ultra pro protectors. You can spare the change for a toploader!
I bought a card off ebay recently and it came in a bubble mailer but not a toploader. If I spend over $100 on a card I want it completely secure. You never know what can happen.

Why not? That's for really thick cards... If a card can fit in a toploader though, then it should be done, but if it is a super thick card not everybody has the special thick toploaders.

If it sells for a good chunk of change (i.e. $100+), as a decent seller I would think one would take the precaution of finding a good holder that the card fits in.
I can't think of many cards off the top of my head that don't fit in any kind of holder at all, except for maybe foldouts like in Triple Threads.

I can't fathom why some sellers do that. I'll send them the freakin quarter for the top loader. You can buy them used for pennies. That does drive me insane!!

That sucks.
I had a guy send me a NT card (it booked at $150) in a "sleeve" he had made from tape and those thick decoy cards.
On a positive note, I recently bought a YA Tittle Exquisite auto from a member here on SCF. He sent it in a magnetic snap down case. I only spent $15 dlvd for the card, so I thought that was pretty classy.
