Versus confirms its commitment to NHL coverage...After Sports Soup!
Posted by George James Malik June 07, 2009 08:33AM
The New York Post's Larry Brooks posited a wise comment today:
June 7, New York Post: Television industry functionaries can attempt to spin it anyway they like, but the decision by Versus to delay the Game 3 postgame show by a half-hour in order to show an episode of "Sports Soup" was a slap across the face to every hockey fan who had been watching. Commitment to hockey, indeed.
So let's see, two more years with NBC for what will amount to somewhere between $100-150,000 per team per year. And Gary Bettman is trying to emulate the NFL's television strategy?

I personally like how Versus is trying to expand themselves to cover all the major sports when they still haven't gotten one right.

I don't see a problem with that, I mean why do people care about watching the post-game show after they just watched the game. Probably the same people that tune into The Hills After Show to watch people talk about what they just saw
