like i said, the question isn't about him getting the max or not. It's about calling him a semi-star and comparing him to juwan howard. Chris Bosh has already accomplished more in 6 season than Howard has in his entire career..

sure Howard was great for 1 season, he never had the consistency Bosh had. I don't know whether Juwan should be a superstar or not because I wasn't serious about the NBA back then, and i'm not calling Bosh a Superstar, but I definitely wouldn't call him a 'Semi-star' either.Last edited by xDrew; 06-09-2009 at 09:46 PM.

Perhaps just a star, then..I'd agree Bosh is better than most at his position, but I just don't see him as a player a team can build around. He's not a Kobe, LeBron type of player.

I agree to a certain extent. Although there aren't many true 'superstars' in the league who can actually have a team built around them. Just look at Paul Pierce. He's a great player, but before KG and Allen, the Celtics were absolutely awful. If you place, say, Ray Allen and someone like Tayshaun Prince on Bosh's team, and surround them with a decent supporting cast, I bet that team will go really far even with Bosh still being the number 1 guy.

I don't think Bosh deserves a max contract IMO.

I feel bad for any team that gives him a max deal and builds a team around him. They won't be winning anything.
That about locks it up for the Knicks.

i think hes trying to do what vince carter did all wrong, i love the raps, but dont blame him for leaving. i think by making it nonnegotiable on how much money he wants he hopes the team will just let him go. get him out, hes miserable up there! i just wish bargnani could come to the cavs...

I think it's just a plan to try to get out of Toronto. Either that or its just plain greed. Probably learned that from Latrell Sprewell. Bosh is a good player but definitely not good enough to for a max contract. I can see Toronto using that kind of money on a bunch of other players to rebuild the team around rather than spend all that money on one player. Now if Bosh had won a championship, than Toronto might give him a max contract.

It sounds like he just wants to be paid to play. The hometown discount idea is absurd. He plays in Toronto, but it's not his hometown. He's only been in Toronto since 2003. Reserve that argument for Cleveland and Lebron.
