What is the best way to prep glossy cards for Autographs?

I am going to a Home Wisconsin Timber Rattler game tonight and I picked up some regular Bowman Rookie cards of some of the players in tonights game including Brett Lawrie. I want to know if there is anything extra I can do to prep the cards for auto's? I have rubbed an eraser on them in the past but I'm looking for some other ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No baby powder? No problem. Take an eraser to the card and rub vigorously.
I collect NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Rangers, NY Knicks, and NJ Nets. I am willing to trade. PM me if you have any cards signed by players from these teams.

Working on collecting all living New York Giants (football) and New York Yankees. The question is which team drives me nuts first!!!
