What are your 3 best pulls ever?

My Crosby YG certainly ranks as #1..... after that, I don't know.

I pulled a Gretzky 5x7 Zenith Z-Team (that was the "Dare To Tear" set. 1997, I think?). BV was $100 at the time.

For the #3 slot..... I guess I'd have to go with the Simeon Varlmov Young Guns Exclusive I pulled from a box of Series 2 this year. Too bad a traded it before it jumped in value :)

I don't break much, and none really in the high-end of things. And I just got back into the hobby a few months back.

3. 08/09 BAP Dual Sigs M-A Fluery/Malkin (Sold it for 30)
2. My only box of 08/09 spa yielded a James Neal FW auto patch (Sold it for 65)
1. My only PC pull so far, 08/09 UD Ice Glacial Graph Jordan Staal (bought 6 packs of Ice, champs and BD total, got 2 autos, 1 jersey and a Luke Scheen BD Rookie gems)

I've never had super-duper-awesome huge luck pulling stuff, but if I had to put my mind to it:

3. I had really good luck last year pulling SOTT Triples - I got both the Red Wings and the Sabres. Both are long gone, in exchange for Carey Price stuff. The Kane FW would also qualify, and yes, it's also gone for a Carey Price FW.

2. Probably my best pull out of the Habs Centennial set. I've seen the version with Komisarek sell for nearly $200 on the Bay; given that Markov is better and will still be around next year, I can only guess what this one would do:


1. Patrick Kane Hot Prospects RC - really nice 3-colour patch that I had for months until I found the right, you guessed it, Carey Price offer.

Good question! This is a very interesting thread to read. Here are mine:

3rd Star: Ok, technically not a pack pull, but it is the 3rd best pull I have had. I got this last fall at the Toronto Fall Expo when Upper Deck has it's priority signings program going on. After I broke my box of Series 1, I picked a pack which had this auto in it.



2nd Star: I never even knew they put plate in UD series 2 until I pulled this. I was wondering why I saw an edge of metal when I unwrapped the pack and looked at the cards from the side. This card especially means a lot to me because the plate is the main Red Wings colour and is form Hasek's last season before he retired.




1st Star: Easily my best pull, now it's just a matter of waiting for the redemption to come in.

It hardly feels that way! But I guess I've been quite fortunate at times...

You just haven't seen all the duds I've pulled!

Oh and to add... (not hockey) I bought 3 baseball packs for cc from mikesilvia... the only time I've ever opened baseball, and I pulled a triple auto!

3rd - picked up a pack of 2006-07 ITG Heroes & Prospects arena version and i got a Alex Ovechkin Auto

2nd - Last summer i picked up a pack of 2007-08 SPA and got a Carey Price FW Auto ( sold it at a flea market for 200$)

1st - Bought a blast box of UD at a toys r us during lunch break at my old job and 1st pack i got a Alexander Ovechkin Young Gun ( got its graded 9.5) ..... that baby is not going anywhere soon!
