Oh please... Crosby won his first Stanley Cup and he forgot to shake Lidstroms hand. OF course it was not on purpose... Give the kid a **** break for once in his career! He deserves it.

If you go back and watch the game, it doesn't really hold merit. Crosby, Bylsma and a few others were held up by reporters while the handshake line formed. Crosby, among others, were late getting over to the line, and some Detroit players (Lidstrom, namely) had skated off the ice into the locker room by that point. But if you go back and watch the coverage, Mike Babcock even says to Crosby (while at the end of the line), "Great leadership by you." I don't think that this was a purposeful snub; just rather a quick handshake line and overanxious reporters. This seems to be much ado about nothing.

NBC sucks. I wish I got CBC coverage. NBC would be a COMPLETE joke if it weren't for Doc Emrick, who is the only person who knows anything at all about hockey.

I agree completely with you. I dont understand why people (Media, fans, ect) have to pick apart everything Crosby does or doesnt do. He was hounded by reporters and excited to have won his first cup (Rightfully so) and didnt make it into the line be the time that some dejected wings left the ice. If they were so intent on shaking Sids hand, they probably should have waited more than 20 seconds to leave the ice. I watched the whole game, and post game, and never did it seem Crosby intended to snub anybody. The same people who rake up stories like this are the people who "hate" Crosby for being the topic of so much discussion. It doesnt make alot of sense to me...

Perhaps Lindstrom, as the losing captain, should have been more gracious and patient and either waited or sought out the winning captain. Crosby was in the line and can be seen shaking the hands of many of the players and coaches. The accusation is by Draper, a losing player after a bitter loss, is what qualifies as classless and ridiculous. If I heard it quoted from Lindstrom I might look for an answer but otherwise I dismiss it.

The players where mobbed by the NBC crew who obviously had to keep a timeline. The NHL network got some good after game on ice interviews as did the local Pittsburgh stations. In the chaos of celebration that ensued immediately after the pens won it is possible but again if it was not from Lindstrom I can't give it too much credence.

Crosby was late (30 seconds), but Draper lead the way to the dressing room.

It's all how you look at it.
