    Heatley camp calls its shot

    Allen Panzeri

Ordinarily, it would be an easy matter to trade a superstar sniper like Dany Heatley.

It doesn't appear, however, as if Senators general manager Bryan Murray is going to have it this easy.

The growing suspicion among league executives and agents contacted by the Citizen is that Heatley's agents have not only given Murray a list of preferred teams, they've also named one or two as their top choices.

Yep..... no surprise there. Demanding a trade when you've got a No-Trade-Clause.... so you can limit the list of teams you'll accept a trade to. Wicked.

Without trying to sound like a know nothing fan, I say let him sit and rot. I sure wouldn't want him in Van city! I used to be a huge Heats fan, both in ATL and OTW, but with this latest stunt I am done with him, I am sure I am not the only one,lol...I don't care what his reasoning is, if he wanted out, he shouldn't have re-upped with the Sens last year.

I agree. I hate this kind of garbage. Let him rot in the minors for a couple years.

Sadly i'm starting to feel the same way, he was my favorite player but now I'm having serious doubts of even following the rest of his career.

While letting him sit and rot sounds like a decent and fair solution to this mess... you can't really tie up 7.5 mil on a guy sitting at home. And plus, I think he has a no-movement clause... which means he can't even be sent down to the minors. Ottawa really has no choice but to trade the fella.

Oh I agree for sure, you can't just swallow 7.5 million, not in "todays NHL"...lol...Poor Sens fans, this just reeks of smack...kind of like the whole Pronger mess we went through here in E-Town.

Sab but true Tyson....ditch the guy...in the same accord as that other unmentionable russian ...its too bad Murray couldn't send his butt to Long Island...(Sorry Ilses fans), would love to see Tavares (lol, or Hedman) in a Sens jersey, I bet that would leave a nasty taste in Burkes mouth though.

    Cool

So the Sens give Heater a career contract and now he wants out!

I say let him sit in Ottawa and let the fans sort him out. Until he waves his NTC. he should honor his contract in Ottawa.

This story is no better than Lindros picking his team at the draft.

Hmm Thornton for Heater straight up?

Ya if you can't move him. Sit him out every night. I wouldn't give in. I'd try to teach him the hard way.

    DERGULA FOR COACH! WOOO!
