I think thats a great deal for the one getting the crosby/malkin cards.
but it must all depend on where the traders are? some places prefer a Gretzky over a crosby and vice versa, either way both parties win with a Crosby Auto and a Great one Auto.

Trader A is definetly giving up more 'value' but it seems like most people are willing to do that when "trading up". The Gretzky is obviously the best card involved in the transaction.... so as long as Trader A really wants it, I guess he's doing alright.

I say that it is completey fair. Trader b is tading down on that gretzky, plus the gretzky is huge for set collectors and is sometimes traded at more BV. the 07 08 one books for 600, not sure on the 08 09 one. I would do it on both sides

The fact this is your whale for your set, i'd do it, but see if you can knock it down or add different cards

If you're talking cash value, I think the trader receiving the crosby, ovechkin, etc comes h out a little bit ahead, but not a lot. Given the "trade down" on the Gretzky, it's pretty fair
