POLL: Singles, packs, or boxes. Let the Debate begin! (Correct version)

    Hey all,

Do you usually acquire your cards singularly, in packs, or in boxes? Vote for the way you most often get your cards, and explain your reason why. Let the debate begin!

I usually get my cards on ebay singularly. I do this because I am a player collector, and also because I don't really have enough money to get cards anywhere else. I haven't bought a hobby pack in 1 1/2 years. Although I do like some retail and the occasional card show :D

I'm interested to see what the most common method is.

    Regards!
    Mike

I usually purchase singles through ebay, reason being is I have terrible luck whenever I break packs/boxes, lol. Plus I usually stick to collecting a few players and you are not guaranteed those players in packs/boxes.

I go with hobby packs so I voted for that, but I also buy singles off Ebay all the time.

I buy some singles on Ebay and some boxes off of the internet but mostly hobby packs. I've found three very good dealers who don't allow pack searching so I've been fairly lucky.
As a matter of fact, I bought two packs of 2001 Topps Stars for $1.50 each last week and pulled a Pujols RC Gold Edition. THe BV is $120. Not too bad for a $1.50 pack!

I prefer buying lots of boxes and then opening them

just like the thrill of seeing what I get.

I prefer sealed boxes, so that the dealers aren't weighing the packs to see which ones have GU/AU

I like to buy Hobby Boxes from the internet. Also, I have bought hundreds of singles from Naxcom. I used to buy from ebay but it got kind of pricey with shipping. Naxcom has many free shipping promotions so I take advantage of those.

I buy most of my cards from E-bay, and I trade on her. I really like to use the free shipping days on Naxcom, but now they have some stupid ones where you have to buy $1 from the same person. So, now that they ruined Naxcom, I am going back to E-bay.

As a low-budget setbuilders who want unsearched packs, my son and I get our cards by the sealed box at card shows. We can then trade with each other and then trade our duplicates on SCF. So far, so good.
