I taught 6th grade last year but this year I'm looking for something in the high school level. I eventually wanna be a History professor at a University somewhere so I'm moving my way up.
You're exactly correct. The New Deal is a term given to a set of reforms set forward by FDR with the goal of relieving, reforming, and recovering the nations economic well-being after the Great Depression. If you can remember those three-R's then you can remember what it's all about: Relief, Reform, and Recover.
