    Ebay Reserve Price Question

The current bid is $50. I set a maximum bid of $200 but ebay tells me the reserve price is not met. Does that mean my $200 bid does not meet the reserve or the $50 bid doesn't?

Thanks for your help and sorry if it's a stupid question.

It means that the reserve is over $200.

One more stupid question... Does my max bid need to be higher than the reserve price or does the actual price need to be higher than the reserve?

Not sure I'm following you, but if your max bid is higher than the reserve, the reserve price will dissapear, and it will proceed just as a normal auction. But your high bid would be catapulted to the reserve price no matter if anyone has bid that high.

Yep thanks. That is exactly what I'm asking.

It looks like it's going to be out of my price range but I'll definately come here to show it off if I manage to get it.
