these rumors are coming from someone inside the org. someone is shopping Rondo with Ainge's approval. Ainge doesnt want to get his hands dirty, have someone below you work out the initial details. Other team's GM contacts Ainge and bam done deal.

In my mind, it is basically Rondo for Gay. Conley and the rest are scrubs.

I don't think its bad for Memphis. One of the best young all-around PGs in the league for a winger, which are a dime a dozen. I would do that in a second if I was Memphis.

Ainge said no big deals will be done, but he also said that after the offer to the Pistons - then this breaks - they are actively shopping Rondo, and I don't care what Ainge says, as they never tell the whole truth anyway.

I would not like this deal for Boston - they downgrade their starting PG, but would get a decent player in Rudy Gay - he'd be a good backup to Garnett/Pierce, and if one of them goes down, then he'd be in the starting role. So, I'm a little iffy with this deal - I really like Rondo, and having no PG would really hurt them.

If they trade for Conley and Gay that means that they would probably trade Ray Allen. Rondo is going to be a big loss but Conley should be fine. I think they would resign Starbury just as a back up. This would be a big one if ever the C's pull through with it.

Conley isn't a scrub. He really shined this season after Memphis got rid of Kyle Lowry.
