98-99 Topps series 1 box break...

well, went to a toy/collectible show and was taking the last stroll through the place and found a guy selling boxes of old stuff. found a 98-99 topps series 1 hobby box, basically paid 15 for it.

ended up with two sets of the 110 base cards.

got 4 jordan base, 3 kobe, 4 duncan.

ended up with two draft redemptions of no. 29(who was that anyways?)

    inserts:
    emissaries - luc longley
    cornerstones - antoine walker
    roundball royalty - shawn kemp
    season best - alonzo mourning
    season best - shaquille o'neal

    now for the better pulls:
roundball royalty ref - allen iverson

    seasons best - michael jordan

and pulled this out of the first pack:
    shareef abdur-rahim auto

overall not a bad box. i was happy with it. course had it been a kobe auto, man that would have been something else...I'm happy I pulled an auto...

Nice Abdur-Rahim autograph, although he signed it kinda on the sloppy side. I can't believe he's retired already...but I guess injuries got the better of him. He was so sick on the VANCOUVER Grizzlies & early days as a Hawk...

i really liked him with the hawks. he was always a good player. the iverson and jordan were awesome but was just glad to pull the auto. ratio is 1:329 or something like that.

i think the iverson books at 20. i think. ratio on that is 1:144 - so yeah that was a sweet pull

awesome break.......can't really ask for much better than that in a 15 dollar box

i'd be interested in trading for one of the sets if you'd be willing to

Nice old school break. Getting an auto'd card is better than getting nothing.

Man, I'd love to buy old school boxes (96 and up though) for 15 dollars.
