My Son
Yesterday we found out my 2y ear old son(will be 3 in September) needs tubes in his ears again, but not only that needs his tonsils and adenoids out at the same time.
To make things worse he has to stay overnight in the hospital then has to spend the next 2 weeks in the same city as the hospital.
We have no idea how we are going to do it, i work very part time and me and my wife have a little side business that's not doing very well this year and just covers our rent.
How we are going to afford staying away from home for 2 weeks is beyond me.
I just dont know what to do, i feel so helpless
Sorry for my rant just had to get it out

Check and see if there is a Ronald McDonald house near by... I know they will sometimes work with families that cannot afford a hotel when forced to stay at the hospital...
Your family will be in our prayers tonight!

Sorry to hear it man...hope everything works out ok. I would recommend contacting some of the larger churches in the area...they should be willing to help in some way.
I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Techman - sorry to hear that, both my daughters have had tubes and have enlarged Tonsils, the doctor has advised us to check into getting them removed but that it's not a necessity unless it interferes with their breathing which as of right now it hasn't. My oldest is 4 and my youngest is 1 1/2 so I know how it is!
question is though, I can see the overnight stay and maybe even a few days after but why 2 weeks? Is there not a doctor (specialist) in your area that can do followups after the surgery? If not I would seriously consider calling the hospital you have to visit and see if they can offer some sort of discounted rate at a local motel or extended stay hotel, some hospitals even have apartments set up for situations like this and if it's under doctors order I would assume they will help out.
good luck bro and keep us posted!

2 weeks is because the local hospital dont have a ENT doctor and isnt capable of handling it if he had bleeding problems after surgery
A couple of hotels there have medical discounts but they are only 10 bux off per night, which would still cost roughly $1000 bux
Thanks to all for their support
