Vet Min? Fix the attitude? That is too much to ask for! Heck...doing just one of them is too much to ask for.

IDK about this year, but in the next 2-3 years I bet h does what most washed-up superstars do, go to a good team just to win a ring. I dont think he's humble enough to do that yet.

No where if he doesnt change his attitude, after what he did in Detroit i think it scared most teams. Dumars is a very good GM and takes care of his players, its not like they didnt try with Iverson

No, I'm saying he's a thug. He's proven it through the years starting in high school. He went to Bethel, right down the road from me. Not exactly the projects, yet he always ran with a crowd of thugs that caused all kinds of problems in the community. He even hit a girl over the head with a chair. He was convicted. The governor granted him clemency in '95 on his way out the door, in my opinion so that he would stay in the state to play college ball. That wasn't in Iverson's plans obviously. John Thompson did a remarkable job keeping him under control at Georgetown.

Not trying to pick a fight with you but Duamrs a very good GM?? Give him credit for Rasheed and the title, but after that nothing. Passes on everyone not named LeBron James, fires Flip Saunders and hires Michael Curry, trades Chuancey Billups for Allen Iverson thus ruining the team, somehow ends up with Kwame Brown???

OK, need I remind you, he traded/signed Ben Wallace, Richard Hamilton & Chauncey Billups. Ben was a nobody when he came here, when he left he won multiple DPOY awards and got paid huge because of how good he became..
Hamilton, never really did much in Washington, he's been brilliant in Detroit
Billups, a journey man until coming to Detroit, all-star teams, finals MVP
McDyess, signed him and revived his career with Detroit
Dumars drafted Rodney Stuckey in the middle of the first round, a division 2 college player, and is now considered one of the best so far from the 07-08 draft class which is turning out to be pretty good thus far..
At the time of Darko, Detroit really had no needs to be filled. Its not like it was Detroits pick from the begining, this was a pick that came from years back...
Flip Saunders was a bad coach, a terrible one, he completely cared less about defense and in my opinion ruined the team by not caring..
Chauncey trade, i hated it as much as anyone else, but the real reason it seemed was to get cap space and Dumars wants to get the team younger
As for Kwame, we didnt expect much from him but he played really well as a backup, he isnt a starter, but is a good backupLast edited by gladdyontherise; 06-27-2009 at 08:16 PM.

Hmm.. we traded Billups because we would have $20 Million off our hands? Lets face it, once Chauncey signed that big long contract he wasnt the same. With all that money we could pick up basically whoevers a free agent. Also Flip didnt do a thing for the team, so why would we keep him around? Also didnt we draft that man named Tayshaun? We took a chance on him late in the first round when other teams wouldnt touch him because of how skinny he was, look at him now. USA Olympic Gold Medalist, Championship, and he's still very young. I can honestly say the only screw up Joe D. made was when he drafted Darko, but thats about it. Stuckey was another great pick. Nobody wanted him because he came from a small school and they all thought he couldnt compete on a high level. Now look at him. A phenomenal basketball player. And when we brought Billups, Tayshaun, Ben Wallace, and Sheed to Detroit they were either Scrubs or not wanted by any other team. And when we put all those guys on the floor together, we won a title. So you really cant say Joe Dumars is a bad or even mediocre GM. I'd say he's one of the more superb GM's in the league. thanx
