Great pick ups!

I think his gum that he spit out after winning the 2001 world series sold for like 25k. I thought that was pretty insane that someone paid that much for his gum lol.

He was a great player...his he still in the bigs or did he retire?

The gum was "acquired" at a 2002 Spring Training game at Electric Park; the year after they won the W.S and was sold online for 10k. Supposedly, the money went to charity but it was never really confirmed.

He wasn't signed this year or even announced retirement. The DBacks have openly stated that he has an open job as the hitting coach whenever he leaves his playing career behind. I personally want him to keep going to hit the 3,000 mark but it looks like his re-occurring elbow injury is catching up with him...
