How do you feel about manufactured patches?

I'd rather one that was on a player's jersey than something that says "#1 Draft Pick" or something like that. I just don't see the point of them.

There are two and only two kinds I like. 1) REAL lettermen from REAL jerseys that were worn in REAL games. 2) I'm kinda ashamed to admit it, but I like the jumbo team logo patches (Leaf R&S, NT)...they're pretty. Manufactured letters and RC logos or NFL logos...no use for whatsoever.

I don't realize all the hate on them. I mean, technically, it's just an insert card. I think people are trying to compare them to game used cards instead of what they should be compared to, inserts. In my opinion, if you get a manufactured patch, it's better than a regular insert. If you get a signed one, it's more interesting than a normal auto card.

I strongly dislike them. It's almost mocking the whole game-used idea. And it killed me the first time I was told that Lettermen patches were manufactured.

Not every letterman is manufactured. I have three letterman cards of the same player that are actually game-used. I just need two more to spell out his name. I have #2/5, #3/5, #4/5. I need #1/5 and #5/5.

Yes, but they are emulating game used stuff. I agree with Darren, the logos are very cool. And Bowman did that this year too, nice college logos with an auto. Now those and real game used I like. The companies should make more of the logos and fewer of the manufactured patches.
