Scam Trader Alert- John Johnson
I am writing to warn everyone about John Johnson of Yadkinville, NC. Mr. Johnson trolls this forum regularly looking for potential victims to perpetrate his scams. Mr. Johnson uses the email address [email protected]. Mr. Johnson recently defrauded my son (a forum member) of nearly $200 in Vince Carter basketball cards. My Johnson promised to send my son basketball cards and $20 cash in exchange for my son's Vince
Carter cards. To date, my son has received nothing. Mr. Johnson claims to have sent the cards and cash promised in the trade, but it is now clear that he never intended to do so. To add insult to injury, Mr. Johnson claims not to have recieved the cards that my son sent him. I was with my son at the Post office the day he mailed them, so I know they were mailed. In short, Mr. Johnson is a low life scumbag that scams minors over the internet. It's
one thing to get robbed in person, it's another to get robbed over the internet. Internet scam artists like John Johnson are cowards, as well as thieves.
Mr Johnson had been doing "business" on ebay (ebay username ilovecards2004), but his account was closed. You can see the negative feedback that people left about him for non-payment of items.
This morning I contacted the Yadkinville, NC Police Department and they are all too familiar with Mr. Johnson's internet based scams. He has defrauded numerous people over the internet. I have initiated a criminal complaint against Mr. Johnson. I'm sure that my son won't be the last victim of Mr. Johnson's scams. If you have been defrauded by this gutless scumbag, contact the Yadkinville, NC Police Department at 336-679-4217. Ask to speak to the Detective handling the John Johnson criminal complaint.
Finally, if Mr. Johnson has offered, or offers to sell/trade any of the
following cards to you, please email me at [email protected]. You can also contact the Yadkinville Police and share the information with them.
vince carter northern flights game floor ($30)
vince carter fleer feel the game ($40)
vince carter flair showcase feel the game ($60)
vince carter fleer mystique rookie remnants #'d 100/100 ($40)
vince carter fleer force feel the force player worn fatique ($20)
I hope that this post will prevent this dirtball from scamming anyone else. Cowards like him who prey upon the naivety of children and seniors are the lowest form of scum in my book.

Normally, we here at SCF do not wish for anyone to make posts like this public
but, this is a wonderful post, and very specific, with phone numbers of the police department, and specific details as to the scam
I am copying this thread into the Chit Chat forum (one of our more popular forums) so that we all can be aware of this situation

Thanks so much for leaving my post up. As a result of my post, I have recieved emails from other forum members that have been scammed by Mr. Johnson. It amazes me that a person (I use that term lightly) like him is not doing time in prison. If he were to rob people in person, he would be convicted of robbery. Just because his crimes are perpetrated over the internet, he is allowed to continue robbing unsuspecting victims.
All I want are my son's cards back. I'm hoping that the local police in his area will be able to do something. If anything, I just want to stop this scumbag from ripping off other people. People like this must be stopped.
Thanks for listening.

He also trades at Sports Card Sheriff under the name ilovecards2004. At that forum, he is currently under investigation for poor trading practices.
