Ariza leaning towards leaving LA....
With at least five teams pursuing Ariza, the Lakers are currently unwilling to pay him more than the $5.6 million mid-level exception.
"They're letting him go," one of the sources said.
Cleveland is making a hard push for Ariza, and the Cavaliers' coaching staff was speaking with him on Wednesday. While Cleveland can only offer the mid-level as well, Ariza's disappointment with the Lakers' stance has moved other suitors ahead of his current team.
The Rockets, Clippers, Raptors and Blazers are also showing interest in Ariza. Portland and Toronto could each offer more than the mid-level exception.

He should leave. There is always big demand for a wing with defensive impact.

It'd never happen. He said he's not happy with the Lakers only offering him the MLE, so why would he leave a better team to sign for a MLE?
He'll end up in Toronto most likely, assuming Portland goes after Hedo like it's been reported.

If another team wants to overpay him, go ahead. Remember, he's just a role player that excelled in the triangle offense.
But I doubt Ariza is the one that's disappointed of the Lakers offer, it's more like his agent that's disappointed.

Agree with the post above, his agent is the disapointed one probably..

I've thought some about this, and it would be bad idea for the Cavs to get Ariza.
If we get Ariza, the Lakers basically have no competition for Ron Artest. And I'm more afraid of a Lakers team with Artest than a Cavs team with Ariza. Thankfully like Jeremy said to begin with, it isn't that realistic for the Cavs anyway.

If push comes to shove, the Lakers will offer up more money...Odom won't demand the same amount that Ariza will, so they'd have an easier time resigning him anyhow...

If push comes to shove, we should sign Odom and persue Artest with that MLE instead of Ariza.
