Sending out 8x10's help
What's the best way to send out 8x10s? What type of envelopes do you use? Do you put any protective items in the envelopes? Any help is appreciated.

I use 9x12 clasped envelopes. I add some cardboard with the 8x10 so it won't bend that easy.

If you are not in a hurry, shop.usps.com has envelopoes made for photos so they dont bend for free. Hope that helps a little. Takes about a week or two to get to your house.

I have never included the extra cardboard. I usually send my request letter andtwo photos in the white envelopes 9x12 that you can buy real cheap at WalMart in like a pack of 25. The shipping my way is one regular and one postcard samp each way. I hve onle had one photo come back creased.

Really??? I have been getting parcel postage every time I send a photo. I include a piece of cardboard (usually the soda case from walmart since they still use the old style non fridge containers) and have had some success. I may try to send like you indy, white envelope no cardboard. Are you sure its only a postcard and reg. stamp each way???
