    My thoughts:

Belcher/Akiyama: Yes, Belcher did land more powerfull blows, but i thought that Akiyama was better technically, and got a takedown in 2 of the 3 rounds. Belcher wanted nothing to do with the ground game, and made no attempts to shoot for takedowns, or make any kind of real move. When he stumbled Akiyama to the ground with that punch, he wasnt even quick enough to touch him on the ground before Akiyama got up. Akiyama however was able to take Belcher down a few times, make attempts at passing his guard, and had an all around better technical effort. If we were judging on which guy got messed up more, its gotta be a victory for Belcher. If were judging on who won the mixed martial arts bout, they got it right with Akiyama.

Henderson/Bisbing- Wow. My predicitions were fairly accurate with the exception of this one. Within the first 30 seconds of watching this, it was clear that Henderson was going to win. Bisbing wanted absolutely nothing to do with Henderson's stand up, and had no prayer of taking him down either. Seriously, after watching that fight, was there anything bisbing could have done? Plain and simple, Henderson is in a different class as Bisbing. He just stalked his prey, let Bisbing slap his face and backpedal away, then waited for him to open up, and said goodnight. One of the more lopsided fights i've ever seen. SIDE NOTE: Henerson looked ripped for this fight, i think Joe Silva and Dana White have got to give him another shot at the title. He's hungry again. Lets see it happen

GSP/Alves- As predicted, GSP and his freakish quickless and length with all limbs proved too much for Alves. GSP controlled the entire fight from beginning to end, and had his way with Alves. I think Alves only got one clean hit in the entire fight. GSP just took him down and worked him over for all 5 rounds. Credit to alves for escaping that choke in round 4, he showed some heart not giving up, but it was definately a frustrating evening for him. Another plus was a nice reversal in round 3 i believe, definately caught GSP off guard. But in the end, GSP completely owned him. Cant imagine someone in that weight class beating GSP now. He's on the top of his game, and its almost boring because of how good he is. Great guy, great champion.

Lesnar/Mir: Again just as predicted. People can hate all they want on Brock Lesnar, but when it really comes down to it, the man is a freaking animal. There is no one in this division that is going to be able to escape that vicious ground and pound. He's a world class wrestler with freakish size and strength. He made Frank Mir (a big man himself) look like his annoying little brother. He tackled him down, held him by the throat, and rained down punches on his face. I've never seen a dude get messed up that much, that quickly. Frank Mir's corner was literally begging Herb Dean to end the fight for about 30 seconds before he actually did. I don't care who the UFC brings in (be it Fedor or whatever) my money will be on Lesnar. He knows enough now to avoid getting in bad spots for submissions, and is also advancing his striking and ground grapping. Its absolutely scary what this man can achieve.

All in all, a great night of fights. People really bought in to this event, and brought alot of new fans to the sport. Usually there are just me and a couple friends at the sports bar to watch the fights, but tonight it was an hour and a half wait just to get a table to watch. Looking forward to UFC 101 now. Lets go Florian!

Akiyama did win that match if you were to judge it using the 10pt round scoring system. It's one of those decisions that could have went either-way depending on who's judging, but I found it absolutely ridiculous that one of the judges gave all 3 rounds to Akiyama.

If i were to judge the entirety of the fight (like in Dream/Pride), i would have given it to Belcher, who had a clearly dominate 3rd round, whereas Akiyama just slid by on points on the first 2 rounds. Even though Akiyama landed more technical shots, Belcher had more effective strikes because it did more damage and controlled how the fight went.

As for the Brock/Mir match, I was sad to see Mir go out like that. I like Brock as an athlete and it is great that he is improving, but I'm getting the feeling that he loss as many fans as he gained that night after his post fight shananigans. Whether his antics were too much or not is up for debate, but it didn't make me want to become a fan.

I work for a large online MMA retailer and can tell you that without a doubt UFC 100 took our great sport to another level.

The epic Hendo KO did for us now (in the US, anyhow) what Griffin / Bonnar did for us a couple of years ago IMO just on a slightly smaller scale since it was a PPV.

The MMA market has been growing like clockwork every month for the past couple of years even in this down economy, and the surge since UFC 100 ended has been nothing short of incredible.

When Hendo connects, he REALLY connects. It was reminiscent of the punch he landed against Wanderlei, although not as hard fought nor as pretty. But in someways, it was more gratifying if you're someone who doesn't like Bisping.

Though I can understand the significance of the Bonnar/Griffin fight in terms of public interest and overall eyeballs on the sport, I can't help but be saddened anytime it gets a mention as a top10 or even top20 fight in the UFC.

And for better or worse, UFC 100 set the stage for Brock as a force and especially as a character; the perfect heel, never before seen in the world of MMA. Ortiz who?

Lesnar is an amazing fighter. Its going to be awhile until someone can take him down. Fedor probably.

But Lesnar needs to keep is WWE antics back at WWE. The UFC has no place for that. Pre-fight is one thing, but after you need to have some respect. These are professional, world class mix martial artists. Not actors. I think Lesnar is great for the sport, but hopefully he learned his lesson and one pull those post-fight stunts again.
