Leafs sign Beauchemin for 3 years!
Love this signing! I'm surprised there isn't a thread yet, but I'm excited about this one because Beauchemin was the one d-man I wanted Burke to sign.
3 years at $3.8 per season.

Good signing for the Leafs.....I like it more that Anaheim gets weaker by not signing him....

No kidding, eh? In a way it's kind of nice having the problem of too many defencemen and needing to clear a few out. We have 11 defencemen signed and now we need to trip it down about 8.

I don't think Kaberle goes until the trade deadline this up coming season. Thats ultimately where his value will be at its highest and the leafs are in a position where they do not have to get rid of him ASAP. Heck at the deadline a skilled skating puck moving defensemen can be worth a skilled forward plus a top prospect or a 1st round pick.

you are right but his no trade clause kicks back in on august 15 so if we dont deal him by then we could have the same problem we had when we had a deal for carter and a first so we need to deal him asap
