Help me decide!!!
heading to the card shop this weekend for my monthly box break. Can't decide which one to get

or
08-09 Masterpieces
which one and why? can't wait to see your responses, thanks!

BTP because unfortunately Masterpieces has many problems with damaged cards and missing hits. BTP has extra hits and great memorabilia cards.

Off the bat I say BTP but what have you busted lately?
Screw it, BTP.

BTP by a mile. In Masterpieces you will have a CHANCE at a nice AU or JSY, in BTP you have a CHANCE at Pads and gloves. The return is overall better and your pulls will be more tradable. Go with BTP all the way.

3 of the last 4 boxes i have busted have been these 2 sets, with the other one being OPC update. Here were the breaks from my Previous BTP and Masterpiece breaks
Box 1 of BTP
Price Jersey(one color), Schneider and Bernier Autos, Fernandez and Tokarski Silver Masks
Box 2 of BTP(much better than the first)
Curry GOLD Jersey(2-color #/10), Roots Durnan Glove(#/9 awesome card), Cann Auto, Giacomin SP Auto(BV N/A), Enroth and Roy Silver Masks
so my first box was pretty average but not the worst while my 2nd box was amazing with 3 cards NPDTS
my only box of Masterpiece yielded
3 Brown Borders(Birilko, Kurri, MacTavish)
Green Border T.Esposito
Brown Border Jersey Ciccarelli
Green Broder Jersey P. Esposito
Brown Border Autos Glenn Anderson and Ron Hextall(both went straight into the PC)
5x7 Jumbo of Ciccarelli
i also enjoyed breaking Masterpiece because i love the look of the hits, also included 2 PC cards. But i agree, i have seen some hits damaged and i did get some damaged base in my box.
One final note, here boxes of BTP are $125 and Masterpiece is $110. Keep the comments coming! i appreciate them! thanks

BTP. Loaded boxes. I have busted three boxes of BTP, all of the boxes contained at less an average of two autos and two GU memorabilia cards; if not more. Awesome product.

btp is the way to go. the gu cards are great, the base set looks very nice and there's mto cards hidden in there.

in my opinion a great box of BTP >>>> a great box of masterpiece but a terrible box of masterpiece >>> a terrible box of BTP. Since masterpiece has vintage autos, the brushstrokes would be easier to move then say a Trevor Cann auto. But at the same time from 4 BTP breaks between a friend of mine and I, only 1 has been terrible, one average and 2 amazing...looks like i'll go with BTP since pretty much everyone is in agreement.
