The thing is. Mtl has had a hard time finding talent at a cheap price. With the collapse of the team last season changes had to be made and these moves that were made had to be made. If it fails in 2010, then I imagine that Mr Gainey will take the fall.
I love Gainey, look at everything he has been through the last few years, and he still shows up to work. Most humans would have gone into a depression to no end.
I wish more Canadiens fans would see that. Most of the fans who are complaining only see one thing....no cup in Mtl!

You make a really good point there Shane. With everything he's been through, and everything he did for the organization as a player, and as a GM, he really doesn't owe Habs fans anything. That he is clearly still putting in so much effort is a testament to his desire to help the team win.
We may not agree with all of his moves, but noone can question his desire.
