worst champs blaster box ever!
So I went out and bought a champs blaster box, I had good hits (gu, red/brown backs/mini rookies etc) and cards from others I bought and I'm a big fan of the minis so I was excited about opening my blaster, then I was shocked to what I got.
only 6 mini cards, should have got 12 no rookies regular or mini.
some packs only had 2-3 cards total should have 4 in a pack, and here's the kicker from the packs that had NO minis I receved Upper deck series 1 1990 cards! yes 1990 UD ™™™!!!!!
Has anybody else seen this? the box was factory sealed and the packs were factory sealed? why did Upper Deck do this? load a new product with old worthless paper?
needless to say I returned the item to customer service, (wallmart will take back anything) got my money back, didn't want to chance another bad break with a straight exchange..

Well glad to see Wal Mart gave you a exchange with no problem. I feel sorry for their customer return department as I known some people that work there. As you say they end up taking back about anything.

wait, your tellin me,
you took back an OPENED box of CARDS?
and, you opened the packs too??
and they STILL took it back??
So, someone could go there, buy boxes, open them up,
not get anything worthwhile, or at least say they didnt,
and still get their money back?
wow, ill never waste my money again!

At least you got your money back, sounds like someone tampered with it

Wow
I would snap if that had happened to me. It must have been tampered with I can't see them adding the 90's junk

hey its wallmart, I've seen them take back a used pair of shoes with holes. she offerd me store credit but I just said can I get cash, and that was fine.
I was thinking about keeping the minis I did get, but I'm more honest.

It was a Upper Deck Factory seal, had the logo on the wrapping, the packs were factory sealed, not reglued or showed any sign of tearing.
it was very odd to see a 1990 Dave Taylor and a Todd Gill stare at me in the face when I opened the first pack.

It has to be an issue with UD quality control when it comes to blaster boxes... because the same thing happened to me, 3 times!
Once when they started selling 06/07 Parkhurst ... most packs had 2 or 3 cards. Then again with Parkhurst ... and most recently with a blaster of Masterpieces ... not a single pack had the 4 cards it was supposed to. I never returned it because I figured it was futile (I guess not) but I did complain to UD and got compensation in the name of the two 07/08 UD Series II packs.
Not to mentioned the 5 tins of 07/08 UD Series I I bought at Walmart that didn't yield a single YG!!! The ratio was 1:6 ... I bought 5 tins x 8 packs ... so 40 packs, and not a single YG, let alone insert... and all were factory sealed with the UD shrinkrapped logo.
