Last Mayfield employee resigns
The last remaining employee at Jeremy Mayfield’s race team said Wednesday he resigned because he doesn’t believe Mayfield Motorsports will return to the track.
Bobby Wooten, general manager of the first-year team, said his resignation had nothing to do with Mayfield’s ongoing battle with NASCAR over a failed drug test. Mayfield was suspended May 9 for testing positive for what NASCAR said was methamphetamines.

right or wrong NASCAR will break him financially. Next move Mayfield sues NASCAR for ruining his business and career. They eventually settle out of court terms to never be disclosed.

I don't believe the test results. It's a big conspiracy to make Nascar look like the good guy and Mayfield, the bad guy.
If Mayfield's that much of a meth head, well there are some pretty crappy guys in Nascar being that he snuck into the chase not once, but twice in a Ray Evernham car.

Had to pop over to the racing forums when I read about this on ESPN.com. Can't believe he popped a 2nd time. You'd think the NASCAR doc was using extra caution with the new sample due to the media scrutiny and accusations by Mayfield. I almost gave him the benefit of the doubt on the first one. Now there's no way. I don't think he'll ever race again.
Wooten said his resignation had nothing to do with Mayfield test, but I'm not buying it. It's a heck of a coincidence that he resigns on the same day news breaks about the 2nd failed test.
