    Which box to buy?

I have the itch to bust a cheaper hobby box, but need some suggestions or reviews.

    - From '07, '08, or '09

    - Looking to spend under $60 total

Pretty much it I think. Just looking for a decent value box with 3-4 hits, wondering what experiences people have had.

    Let me know, thanks!

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT get anything from 06 or anything earlier than that. I had to learn that the hard way after buying $300 worth of 06 boxes and pulling no joke $40 worth of cards

Yeah, I'm not keen on '06 stuff or earlier, as I didn't get back into collecting until early '07. '07 Chrome is pretty cheap, good one.

I would probably lean towards an '07 product, as it is P-Will's rookie year. I was looking at these just now:

    '07 UD Sweet Spot
    '07 Leaf R&S
    '07 Ultra

Didn't really collect anyone from '08, but for being as cheap as these are, I figure it might be decent to scratch the itch:

    '08 Rookie Progression
    '08 Upper Deck

    Thoughts on any of these?

Well, I broke a box of just about everything you listed except Sweet Spot.

I personally don't like LR&S; a lot of single color jerseys to be pulled and just a less-than-exciting break.

Ultra is a fun break, but if you don't get a nice Lucky 13 or auto, you'll be left with very little. Still, fun to break, especially if you aren't looking to sell what you pull.

Rookie Progression is the worst, most unappealing product I have ever opened. The design is HIDEOUS and it's not a fun break (I even had a good box with 2 Chris Johnson autos and a low numbered LT jersey). I wouldn't touch it unless the price is ridiculously low.

Just plain old Upper Deck isn't a bad break. Some sweet base card and nice looking autos, plus a rookie in every pack. If it wasn't UD, I would recommend it. But alas it is UD...

Throwing this back up for more opinions. I will probably decide tomorrow.

I am usually a sucker for Chrome. But its really one hit with the auto, unless I get a good uncirculated RC or a nice refractor.

I guess I'm looking for something more substantial, to bolster my tradebait more so than resale value, especially at the lower price range of boxes. Which is why I might lean towards something like LR&S or Ultra with 3-4+ hits. Ultra doesn't seem to have the esteem of the other products in the price range though.

Any opinions on '07 Sweet Spot?

    Thanks all.
