UD Redemption Replacement

So, I bought a redemption card of my Favorite player last June in 2008 for a:

ZACH PRAISE 2007-08 ICE HOCKEY UD BLACK AUTO JERSEY CARDS// NO #ING CD# BI-ZP

(one of those 4 swatch jersey card w/ a GOLD Penned Hard Signed autos on em!!) (also, notice they "Misspelled his name!!)

So, i had emailed UD 6 times, 2 of those asking for info if its being made, then asking for replacement redemption twice!
I got the typical response:

Hello,

We are sorry to read that you are still waiting for your redemption card(s).

Unfortunately, sometimes it takes longer than expected for athletes to return the signed cards to us......
BLAH BLAH BLAH, you know the rest....

and this one too:

Hello,

We are waiting for the card to be signed and as soon as the card is signed, we will send the card out to you. All cards that are put into our products have the intentions to be signed and produced. If the card is not signed we will let you know and a suitable replacement would be made at that time. We do not have a timeline of when we will receive the card but they are in fact scheduled to be signed. Thank you

yeah, got these same emails a few times, then they stopped responding too me, altogether!

so again, I emailed them this letter, titled "Redemption Exchange"

This is my redemption that I have been waiting on for over a year now.
I have emailed asking questions about it, receiving little or no replies.
My faith in Upper Decks redemption wait time was very disappointing and
my emails that went unresponded left me with no other choice that to take
whatever I get at this time.
I have been in the hobby of collecting cards, since Upper Decks conception.
I have never had a problem with the customer service until this redemption.

Please understand that this card would have made my year and would have
been a highlight in my collection.

My list of players are:

Zach Parise
Martin Brodeur
Sidney Crosby
Alex Ovechkin
Patrick Roy
Wayne Gretzky
Mark Messier

and after 1 week, the status has changed from

"Athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient."

too

"Replacement Requested"

So, this should take about 1-2 weeks till it arrives?

Hopefully they wont send me:

a 08-09 UD game jersey of Brendan Shanahan in his NY Ranger Uniform on the front, but stating its from the red wings on the back!!


Anyone want to guess what I'll get from them?

As a Jersey fan.....
You will get a new Jagr Jersey auto Card
NYR on the front with him in a Washington Jersey and the swatch will be from Pittsburgh....Oh yeah - probably a JJ instead of his full auto....
The NEW & JERSEY part will be as close as you get to the Devils.....

Yeah, that would be Hill-freakin-larious!

The PERFECT Replacement would be the
Pride of the Nation, Autographed Flag Patch of Parise, in replacement!

That card would make me VERY Happy!!

I am pretty sure that I will get the Dual auto of Parise/Gianta from BAP,
since there is quite a few of those around.

As a Jersey fan.....

my status changed again today on this:

So, it looks like it will be coming sooner, than later!!

Other projects? That just means the letter right?
ive gotten this before, one time I got a pack of cards with it too?
I guess i'll see when it comes.

Despite what Beckett says his Pride of a Nation cards don't exist, never saw a single one or even a redemption, I guess if they made the card and he ever signs again it will be used for later replacements. His dual and trio autos from 07-08 BAP don't exist either, nor does his cup foundations patch version.

Well my redemption replacement came in todays mail.

What I got was 2008-2009 OPC Premier Duos
Mark Messier/Brian Leetch Auto's #/75 #PP2-ML
(which will probably go too the brothers collection)

Dont get me wrong this is a Super Nice Card,
but what I was getting replaced for was a
Quad Jersey Auto card.

Was it a fair trade from Upper Deck?
After waiting over 1 year for a redemption I never got?

I don't think Parise for autos from two HOFers is a bad trade..... though I'd still be pretty upset over the whole ordeal. You go out of your way to get a redemption card of your favorite player, and then have to take another player(s) in return? (In fact, I'm over 2 years waiting now for my Ranford Lettermarks from 07-08 SPGU).

No sorry thats not an acceptable replacement card, i would be furious if i waited for a quad auto jersey card and they send u a dual signed.. thats not good enough.

You definitely came out ahead on that one. It may be a downer to not get your #1 PC guy, but you got a nice low #'d dual HOF'er auto card. Parise's career can rise and fall, but Leetch and The Moose have etched their legacy.
