    How much does Niekro charge?

I went to the Braves game tonight and the tickets looked pretty sharp. They had a picture of Niekro on them tonight and I was hoping to get one autographed. Does anyone know what his fees are?

    Thanks,
    Alex

It was $20 for a baseball including HOF inscription.

I'd assume a ticket would be the same as a card or custom. $5 is pretty good for a guy like him. Thanks for the info.

I just sealed my letter up earlier with $5. I'll try that first since it worked with RockiesFan rather than open it up and change it. Thanks for the info though. If it comes back unsigned I'll know why I guess.

Best of luck as he sometimes does not even accept mail requests with fees.

Write "DONATION ENCLOSED" below the address in nice big letters. Now that he's actually charging, he's a lot better at actually opening his mail, but it never hurts to let him know that there's something besides your request in there.

Don't write, however, "CASH ENCLOSED". That's just asking for trouble.

Sending cash is always a gamble, but you can almost always get someone for less than their normal signing fee when you send cash. It's like the old addage that a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. It's a lot harder for a signer to return cash when it's in their hand than a check that they have to cash and it may not clear, etc.

Good idea. Thank you. I did include cash and went out to my mailbox before the mail came and added the not on the envelope. Hopefully its a quick return...he's not too far from me at all.

I got my ticket back signed today. He also included his price list which is the same as what sportscollector listed above if anyone was wondering.
