I have noticed lately that when I post on a thread where the collector wants a certain player or wants to try and trade, I let him/her know what I have and then they just skip over me all together.
Some lmk that they will check to see what they need and then never get back to me or some just don't respond at all.

Now, I do not have much for high $ cards.
I am not asking for much in return; I mean, I have been trading for many years now , and I know that I am not going to be able to trade my 10-$5 cards for 1-$50 card.

but , it seems like more times than not, the guy/gal doesn't get back to me on their thread...doesn't answer the pm I sent...nothing.

Next time I check their thread.. they have bumped it up and again, just go past my post.

And that is after 2-3 days to a week.

When I respond again...same thing!

Are people just that rude or am I looking into things a little too much? It is not just this site but a multitude of others as well.
It is getting tiring! I spend the time to post on their thread and paste the cards I have that they have stated they want and ....nothing!
I am thinking of getting out of the trading sites and just start buying individual cards on Ebay or a store.

I am rambling on, and I do apologize for that, but it is something that I have noticed the last year or so and wondered about.

LOL...I've seen it happen a lot where the OP skips over some posts but it doesn't seem intentional. Still I wouldn't be surprised if some are being rude and intentionally ignoring your post. It's probably just that many of us are always in a hurry or always multitasking so threads are just skimmed instead of actually read. As you post more and more on SCF, you'll develop a presence and (good) reputation. Good luck to you in growing your collection!

Yeah I am sure that might have something to do with it. I think I have traded a fair amount and have a good rep with that. but due to finances, I can not spend much $ on cards anymore and all I have left is some of my low end rc's and stars.
I try to stay trading low end for low end, but it seems like a lot of guys are still doing a lot of High end and don't have time and patience to waste on the low end stuff. so I am stuck.

Yeah, and it doesn't help when I am collecting big stars like MJ, Lebron , KG and the like.

On your side note...Do you have anything that is not listed on your site? Like KG, MJ and Lebron...or Twins rc's or gu cards?
I do like the Maggette auto...
and maybe the Bo Jackson rc's
Not sure on bv of the King gu though.

I do actually have an auto of him...I think it might be a goudey from 06???...I think. But I have that one in my pc. Unless you have a Lebron rc, Kobe rc, KG or Jordna that I would want for it...???

Something for everyone to note:

If you are on a persons ignore list they WILL NOT even see your posts. So no matter how many times you post in their thread the have no idea because those posts are blocked from them viewing them.
