Wild plan 7 exhibitions
The new Wild regime directed by coach Todd Richards and overseen by general manager Chuck Fletcher will make its Xcel Energy Center debut at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 with the team's first home exhibition game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Minnesota opens a seven-game NHL exhibition schedule against the Blues on Sept. 15 in St. Louis.
Three of the seven games are scheduled at the X, with the Chicago Blackhawks coming to St. Paul for a 5 p.m. game Sept. 20 and the Blues playing a 7 p.m. exhibition Sept. 24.
