    Newbie to ebay! Help please!

OK I have been a long time trader/seller but am new to ebay. I signed upand want to start a store or somethin to sell things to make a few extra bucks before the national. However, I really don't know where to start. I know about all the fees and such. Should I get 3-5 feedback before I list anything? The way I'm thinking of doing it is to list BIN/BO and accept offers for a few days and do free shipping as that seems to work. Let me know any help or tips you may have. Thanks!

Building up feedback is never a bad thing, but it needs to be selling and buying. A lot of people do look at how much selling feedback you have, regardless of how much buying feedback you have.

People will be leary of buying from someone with such low feedback, so I'd start out with some small things. If you try to sell high end stuff right off the bat, you'll probably get considerably less than you normally would because people don't want to take a chance with that much money with a new seller. I'm sure you know on eBay, on here, pretty much any where, there are people who sign up with high-end cards for sale or trade, then disappear into the night after a few deals are made without sending their end. People know this and don't want to get ripped off. People are more likely to take a chance if they're buying a $5 card than a $50 card.

    Good luck!

I'd also have a short preface in your listing descriptions about yourself/store, how long you've been into trading cards and explaining how you're new to eBay...that should compensate for the low feedback & possibly ease the mind of weary buyers.

Free shipping & BIN/BO are great incentives, good luck.

definately build up feedback and try and keep it at 100% also they now rate your shipping time, price, ect so make sure to stay on top of all that. I try to send next day after payment is received. I also like to use paypal shipping its cheaper on dc and they can track it easy thru paypal which is nice for the buyer

I wouldn't start a store right off the bat. It's a small monthly amount of $15, but since you're new to ebay I'd just run some actions to get your feet wet, get some feedback, and figure out what can and can't be sold on ebay. It's not rocket science but there are some things to learn about listing like writing proper descriptions and creating good scans or photos and so on.
