Does it really make a difference?

Last week i bought this card:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_548wt_1167

and thought i came away pretty good. Well this ended tonight:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1182

and i was thinking that i would rather have the same card for a fraction of the price, than one with the player's "jersey number" as the serial number. What does everyone else think?

Yeah it matters, to those who collect the jersey numbers, they are just as important to them.

I personally would never pay 4x more just to get the jersey number, but some people care, I suppose. Either way, your card is pretty sweet!

I personally would not pay that much for a card numbered to a player's number. THe fact that it is, does not make it any rarer than the other 24 in print (using the A-Rod as an example). THough I'm sure the fact that it's A-Rod caused the price to jump considerably. A less popular player probably wouldn't have commanded such a premium.

Isn't 3 his number with Seattle and Texas---
I think you should put yours back up for auction, with "Jersey Number" in the title and description.
