Card worth?
How do cards become worth so much money so many years later? Is it based on a super bowl winning year or a record breaking year? Or is it just the time span of which the player is popular?

It's a number of things working in combination. How good the player is (stats, championships, pro bowls, awards, etc.), and how rare and desirable the card is, and future availability of autographs. I think it has more to do with the overall impression the player leaves fans with when he retires. I personally don't put much emphasis on championships because single players simply do not have the impact/ability to take their team to a Super Bowl if they don't have a strong supporting cast. For example, I don't think one bit less of Dan Marino or Barry Sanders for not having a ring. Just my $.02
