    Paypal Customer Service Helpful?

For once I have to say that Paypal actually came through for me. I sold an SPA Chris Johnson 2 Color Auto patch on Ebay back in May 2009. The member failed to pay in the 10 day limit that I established on my auction. The buyer was horrible at communication and only paid for the card 3 weeks after the auction ended because I filed a non paying bidder claim against him. So I send the card off 15 Jun 09 and then the member bugs me every day after that asking if I sent. I sent him the tracking number at that time and then the item was delivered 20 Jun 09 according to the tracking slip. Well I go to make a paypal payment for an item I bought from somebody here today and notice that I have a negative balance of $63 and see that the member I sold that card to filed a claim against me for non receipt. He says he's been out of town and unable to recieve his items and wanted a tracking information update. I post the tracking info (thank god I kept the slip) on the paypal dispute but it wouldn't let me send anymore payments until the problem is resolved. I called paypal customer service and explained the problem and he advised me to escalate the dispute to a claim. Once I did that he closed out the dispute and restored my account. I have to say that is the smoothest their customer service has ever been. Sorry for the novel rant but for once I'm happy I didn't get raked over the coles.

The operative thing is to keep your proof. Even if it is just a receipt. To many people don't do this then complain when PP rules against them. You need evidence in court to win a lawsuit. Why wouldn't you need proof to prove your point in a paypal dispute?
