Probably one of the most anticipated sets in recent memory, Press Pass Showcase has delivered on the hype. A lot of people were wary about Press Pass designing a high-end set for racing, but the wariness should cease. This is a fantastic set from start to finish.

The cards are on a thicker stock than normal. This is great as it support the holofoil and will lead to less damage while the cards are handled. The base set (1st Gear) is only 53 cards. The cards are numbered to 499 from 1-50. Cards 51-53 are devoted to 3 rookies (Logano, Speed and Keselowski). To give added value to these rookies, they added a piece of firesuit to them and they are numbered out of 100. There are three levels of parallels in the set: Gold, Green and Melting Foil. And that's it. No miscellaneous inserts and parallel of those cards.

With one race used or autograph card per pack, this is wonderful for those looking for a bang for the buck. One of the keys to this set overall is how it is based on racing teams. This allows for some great combinations on the race used cards. Accordingly, the set focuses on the top tier/big name drivers in NASCAR, so you know you will get something decent in each pack. Not to mention, on-card autos! Though that is the norm for Press Pass.

There's a lot of excitement that goes into opening each and every pack. Press Pass really outdone themselves with Showcase. Even the box is nice with the inside being covered in black felt just to accentuate the release and drive home how nice this product really is. It's really hard to find fault with this product. I know some will knock it for the price or that their drivers are not in it, but once you open it, it's not a let down. Each pack provide entertainment and enjoyment, and really, you can't ask for much more.

Once again, I'd like to thank our gracious sponsors at Press Pass for giving us the opportunity to open and showcase this release. If interested in more information on this product or others in their line, be sure to check them out at www.presspassinc.com.

Very very cool-looking cards! Outstanding product and review--thanks Press Pass and Tony. This makes me wonder now what they could do if they had an MLB license to produce cards...
