well I searched eBay for "fake" and "replica" and not a whole lot turns up. I would read through eBay's fine print and make sure before posting anything for sale.

As long as your up front that the items are replicas you should be ok.

Aren't there importing laws that specifically prohibit reselling stuff from 'business trips' to other countries?

I haven't looked at ebay policy, but the simple fact that you say they are fakes not make the act of selling fakes to be any less illegal. If they are exact knock-offs and use the company's name such as gucci and rolex, those are trademarked designs and brands and definitely is illegal to sell anywhere. However I guess it's all about who is policing your marketplace. They bust people for selling fake concert t-shirts and NFL gear all the time at concerts and superbowls, but there are shops full of the stuff in new york's china town. I'd say it's probably pretty well policed on eBay as the goods sold on their site are a direct reflection on their business. Outside of the illegality of the whole thing there's also an ethical issue as well. I'm not sure if you are thinking about buying stuff to resell on a regular basis or just getting rid of a watch that he bought you a few years ago, but a company spends vast amounts of money designing, producing, branding, and marketing their items and while they may be a faceless company that sells their product for large amounts of money, they didn't do all of this work so that someone can create a cheap knockoff and ride their coat tails. Of course you didn't make these, but in buying or reselling them you help create demand for these counterfeit goods.
