Wow...15-2 in favor of it being broken! What a change from points and rebounds to assists!

i voted no
Skiles had shaq to dump it to
The most stockton ever got was 27 and he had Malone all along
I don't think there is another duo that can develop 30 assists....
If one was able to do it it would be Paul, but the only way it would happen is if he throws 20 lobs to chandler.......wait wait......they got rid of chandler......OH WELL!!!

i think he did it in 1990 before shaq was in the league, if im wrong someone please correct me.
i voted yes it can and will be broken. i just dont think it will be by a superstar type player. like a few mentioned already steve blake had a nice quarter but then his teammates started missing shots and he had to take his second quarter breather. i say it will be some decent but not great point guard who will see his oppertunity by having like 16 dimes at the break then they will chase it as a team

I think it's possible for a player in my lifetime to break the single game assist record set by Scott Skiles. But it'll probably be done by somebody you least expect.

CP3 will break this eventually... in an OT game.

I think it will be based on the same logic for blocked shots - people in recent years have come very close to it, so I can see it happening eventually.

Yeah i have to say it will be my guy... With the addition of Emeka and maybe one more solid offensive player its possible.
Like another post said in an OT or 2OT game hes got a good chance... thats if he doesnt choose to drop 50 that night... lol

Nope...just in one game...doesn't matter whether it's in regulation or 1 million overtimes - it's just more impressive when it's in regulation!
